Organizing TIP of the WEEK:

pack for a week in one carry on

You know the benefits of traveling light - there's less to pack, less to lose, less to lug. Yet boiling down an entire week's wardrobe to a single carry on requires giving each item serious thought. First, select two pairs of pants (or skirts) and three shirts, yielding 6 possible combinations. Stick to basic colors and you can jazz them up with accessories. Add a bathing suit, shorts if needed and a weeks worth of underwear and socks. Pack 2 pairs of shoes and of course you'll be traveling with a third, along with your jacket and shoulder bag with the daily essentials. Of course this varies by your destination, but should help get the ball rolling to lighter packing.
